Cultural award to advisory board member at Biskopsgården's library
24.11.09Mr Behrouz Assadi, resident in Biskopsgården, is the winner of the Biskopsgården cultural award 2009. On November 7 Mr Behrouz Assadi received the award from Mr Hasse Ohlson, head of Biskopsgården city district committee division Recreation and Culture. The prize was worth € 1000.
The motivation states:
”Mr Behrouz Assadi serves a useful purpose as ”spider in the web”, functionning as an information link between residents, NGO’s and organizations in Biskopsgården, creating opportunities for contacts and knowledge. With his engagement, interest and helpfulness, he is a source of encouragement and inspiration to many residents in the city district.“
Mr Behrouz Assadi has been retired for some years but keeps working actively to improve the local society and create opportunities for cultural development and exchange for residents of all ages. He is, among others, involved in the Council of Non-Profit Organizations in Biskopsgården and in the Multicultural Community Radio & Television Association in Göteborg. We are also fortunate to count him in among the members of our Libraries for All – ESME multilingual advisory board at the Swedish pilot library in Biskopsgården.
